We are hiring an Animal Care Technician to help care for the dogs and cats in our shelter. This position focuses on daily cleaning, feeding, and providing basic care to shelter animals. This is a physically demanding and fast-paced job that requires reliability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning kennels and litter boxes
• Feeding and watering animals
• Laundry and dishwashing
• Monitoring animals for signs of illness or stress
• Walking dogs and providing enrichment
• Assisting the public and other staff as needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe facility

Requirements

• Must be reliable and prompt for scheduled shifts
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for most of the day
• Must be able to handle loud environments and strong odors
• Must be comfortable working with animals that may be scared, sick, or not trained
• Must work well with a team and follow instructions
• Must be comfortable answering phones and greeting members of the public
• Weekend and holiday work is required
