The Cody Library will host a series of guided Birding Walks each Thursday morning in May at 8:00 a.m., offering community members the opportunity to observe and learn about local bird species in their natural habitats. Led by local expert Leslie Tribble, the walks are free and open to the public. Participants are invited to join for a few hours each week to listen to and learn about the region’s feathered wildlife. Field trip locations are as follows: May 7: Paul Stock Nature Trail — Participants will meet at the trailhead and have the opportunity to connect with staff from the Draper Museum. May 14: Shoshone Riverway Trail May 21: Buffalo Bill State Park — Participants will meet at the end of Bartlett Lane to walk the dike road. May 28: Beck Lake Park Participants are encouraged to bring water bottles, wear sturdy shoes suitable for outdoor conditions, and bring binoculars if available.
