About Us
Double Diamond X Ranch is a guest ranch near Yellowstone National Park and Cody, Wyoming. DDX is off the beaten path, located on the upper South Fork of the Shoshone River where the road ends at the base of the 12,000 foot Absaroka Mountains.
The ranch is adjacent to the Washakie Wilderness Area of Shoshone National Forest, which is contiguous with Yellowstone National Park, providing a backyard of 3 million of the wildest, most scenic acres in North America. Seclusion is balanced with the convenience of year-round accessibility, being only 35 paved miles from the vibrant Western town of Cody.
The Ranch is Cody country’s premier event venue hosting weddings, reunions, and small corporate getaways while also offering world-class guided fly fishing and year-round wilderness lodging for the adventurous.
The South Fork of the Shoshone River runs through DDX for about a mile. This stretch, fishable nearly year-round, is known for its brown trout, but you'll also pull in rainbow trout, Yellowstone cutthroat, and brook trout.
In winter, DDX is surrounded by the highest concentration of natural waterfall ice in the lower 48 states - this makes for a world-class ice climbing experience.
Double Diamond X Ranch - real West, real Wyoming, adventures unbound!
