About Us
Step back into the old west at Buffalo Bill's Irma Hotel. Capture the romance of an era when Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show try-outs were held west of the hotel, buffalo ran amok in Cody, and nobility stayed at the Irma Hotel while in the area.
William F. ''Buffalo Bill'' Cody was involved in many events that shaped the American West, and formed an arena show of the western experience called Buffalo Bill's Wild West in 1883. He helped found Cody in 1895 and established his TE Ranch here. In 1902, he built the Irma Hotel, named for his youngest daughter. He called it ''just the sweetest hotel that ever was'', and kept two suites & an office here for his own use.
Stay in historic rooms that housed some of the most famous personalities ever known. You can choose Buffalo Bill's private suite or a host of other historic & non-historic rooms.
Join us in the restaurant and enjoy ''the best prime rib in town''. We offer fabulous buffets & a full service menu. Enjoy a drink in the Silver Saddle Lounge.
The Irma Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service in recognition of its contribution to the cultural foundations of America. The famous cherrywood bar, a gift from Queen Victoria, dates to the period of construction and is one of the most photographed features in Cody.
The Cody Gunfighters perform at 6 p.m., Monday - Saturday, from June to September. It's free family fun on the porch.
Buffalo Bill's Irma Hotel is a place fancy enough for royalty & plain enough for cowboys and cowgirls. You'll love it.
