The Marketing and Membership Coordinator is a full-time position and reports to the Executive Director.


OVERVIEW
The Marketing and Membership Coordinator will focus on recruitment, retention, and communication with prospective members/members as well as marketing program development for members.  In addition, he/she actively works to solicit sponsorship commitments for the BBAS and other Chamber Events including Cody Club, WWE and Founders’ Day.  Roughly 50% of their primary focus will be on Membership and 50% on marketing and sponsorships associated with BBAS and will assist the BBAS Director where possible.
 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Events:
Coordinate all aspects of Cody Chamber member events. Events currently include Chamber luncheons, The Founders Dinner, Extravaganza, and member training events. Position may coordinate additional or alternative events in the future.
Serve on the Rendezvous Royale Committee.
 
Coordinate public relations and advertising for all Chamber events (assisting with BBAS)
 
Manage budget(s) for all events in conjunction with Executive Director and bookkeeper.
Attend all Chamber events
 
Recruit adequate number of volunteers for all Chamber events (Assisting with BBAS)
Develop relationships with important community stakeholders including but not limited to representatives from the local media, Park County Travel Council, Buffalo Bill Center of the West, City of Cody, Cody Stampede, Park County School District, Downtown Merchants Association, Cody Events Committee, Top of the Hill Gang and Forward Cody. Attend all committee/association meetings as needed.
 
Cultivate relationships with Chamber members and solicit sponsorships for events.
 
Generate final event reports to share with Cody Chamber Board of Directors.
 
Assist with the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale.
 
Membership
  • For 6 months of the year they will focus on new member solicitation and sales calls, specifically from November through May of each year.
  • Assist in the creation of new marketing programs to enhance value of Cody Country Chamber of Commerce Membership
  • Maintain Chambermaster database
  • Actively communicate with members and non-members at networking events, via social media and face-to-face meetings
  • Assist Bookkeeper and ED in collection of past due membership dues
 
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Demonstrable ability to successfully manage and execute community events.

Experience in fundraising and/or sponsorship generation.

Strong organizational skills, leadership ability, creativity, confidence, ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.

Ability to deal effectively with the public. Very strong communications and “people” skills required including diplomacy, dependability and thoroughness.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Experience with Microsoft Office and social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter.

All Chamber property shall be delivered to the Chamber in good condition at the end of employment.
