Essential Functions of the Job
As part of the structural department team, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership in maintaining the existing and growing a new client base, engaging less experienced staff in project design, and managing structural design projects for the Billings and Cody region. You will serve as the structural department regional lead in the Billings or Cody office, managing activities throughout Eastern Montana and Northern Wyoming while regularly interacting with department leadership. This job will provide work on a variety of types and sizes of structural projects. From minor residential remodels to multi-story, multi-material commercial designs we are confident that it will grow your skills, experience, and confidence that your work makes a difference in the communities we serve.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Requires thorough structural analysis and design knowledge including lateral (wind and seismic) and gravity design utilizing all major design materials.
  • In-depth knowledge of all major structural design codes.
  • Computer Aided Drafting and Design skills.
  • Thorough knowledge in the preparation of structural design drawings and details.
  • Ability to establish relationships with department staff and clientele.

Required Education and Experience
B.A. or B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering, Professional Engineer (P.E.)
