Have you ever spotted a bird you couldn’t quite identify—or heard a song without seeing who was singing? Whether you’re brand new to birding or looking to sharpen your skills, this program is for you.
Join Corey Anco, Curator of the Draper Natural History Museum, and Amy Phillips, Assistant Curator at the Draper Natural History Museum, for From Feeders to Field Guides: Starting Your Birding Journey. This engaging talk will cover the basics of birding, including where and when to look, how to listen for identifying calls, and what clues help distinguish different species.
You’ll also learn how to use your smartphone as a birding tool, track sightings, and take part in citizen science projects.
This program is free and open to the public.
