Heart Mountain Interpretive Center free day
Heart Mountain Interpretive Center will offer free admission to visitors on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 24. The interpretive center will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Locals are encouraged to bring visiting family to learn about Japanese American incarceration in Park County during World War II.
Heart Mountain Interpretive Center, located on Highway 14A between Cody and Powell, will waive its regular admission fees on Saturday, November 24. Executive Director Dakota Russell said that the museum wants to give locals a chance to share area history with family members visiting for the holiday. “There are only a handful of places in America where you can learn about this story,” said Russell. “We want to give the local community an opportunity to share it with their relatives and friends.”
