Heart Mountain Hike
Choose one of three fun-filled activities happening concurrently at The Nature Conservancy’s Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve.
Guided Hike: Join a full-day excursion to the summit of Heart Mountain with Heart Mountain Ranch Preserve Manager Brian Peters. 7-8 hours; approximately 8 miles. Strenuous.
Wildflower Watch: Be a scientist for a day! Help collect data on how native plants are responding to a changing climate and other disturbances, with Community Ecologist Trevor Bloom as your guide. After completing this activity, you will be empowered to help collect data along several popular hiking trails in the Cody area. 2-2.5 hours; approximately 2 miles. Moderate.
Kids’ Migration Activity: Run, jump and crawl through an obstacle course while learning about migration with our Migration Program Director, Abby Scott. 30 minutes. Easy.
