Topic: Recording the Yellowstone Hotspot Track

The ever-changing geology of Yellowstone is fueled by the Yellowstone Hotspot. The hotspot eruptive centers date back at least 17 million years and there is evidence for much older intrusions. Come hear a presentation by one of the leading researchers in the field, Dr. Lisa Morgan, along with Outreach Educator George Miller. Learn about the morphology of the hotspot and very recent steam explosions in Yellowstone National Park.

The Cody Culture Club, founded by members of the community, joins with the Buffalo Bill Center of the West to celebrate the unique culture of Cody, Wyoming, by offering insightful programs inspired by the Center’s world-class collections.
