50th Anniversary - Wild Free-Roaming Horses & Burros Act
Friends of a Legacy asks that you save the date of Friday, July 2, 2021 for their Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act!
Purchase a Commemorative Envelope, specially designed for this event available on our website.
Come say Howdy to Rowdy, the wild burro; the postmaster from Emblem will be on hand to place a specially designed Hand-Cancellation from the U.S. Postal Service on each piece of mail to mark and commemorate this special event.
Come see the amazing bond between “Aisha”, one of the McCullough Peaks HMA mustang mares and Marijn Werquin from the Hideout Lodge and Guest Ranch in Shell, Wyoming. Marijn will demonstrate her “liberty work”, a part of the “Authentic Horsemanship” training done at the Hideout.
This marks FOAL’s 16th year in dedication to enhancing the habitat for all the creatures living in the McCullough Peaks Herd Management Area (HMA).
